Commercial Property Paralegal

Holidays: 33 days holiday inclusive of bank and other public holidays
Salary: Competitive salary in line with experience.
Location: Loughborough office based appointment
Contract: Full time/ Permanent position although part time may be considered for the right candidate.

The Role

As a commercial property paralegal, you will be assisting and supporting the senior Solicitor on a varied caseload, which includes commercial leases, freehold commercial sales and purchases and bespoke residential/commercial work (not residential conveyancing.) 

You will have hands on support and training (as required, dependant on your experience) from our experienced commercial lawyer and will benefit greatly from the combined knowledge and expertise of the firm’s property team.

Whilst we offer flexible working, this role will be office based.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include but is not limited to: 

  • Searches
  • HM Land Registry registrations
  • Stamp Duty Land Tax filing
  • Liaising with clients on behalf of the fee earner
  • Drafting documents
  • File opening, closing and other administrative tasks
  • Some audio typing

Skills & Experience

  • A degree qualification is essential and a law degree desirable.
  • Legal assistant/Paralegal experience within a commercial property department is desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent client engagement and IT skills are also required.

The work undertaken by the successful candidate will qualify as ‘Qualifying Work Experience’ for the purposes of qualifying as a solicitor. Study leave will be provided for the sitting of the SQE exams.
