Emily is a criminal defence paralegal at Straw & Pearce and graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2:1 in Law. Alongside her studies, Emily gained practical legal experience through a placement with Access Social Care, partnered with the Liverpool Law Clinic, where she worked with vulnerable clients and unpaid carers, helping to identify their legal needs and draft correspondence to local authorities. This experience reinforced her interest in access to justice and the importance of ensuring that people are able to access the support and representation they need.

Emily prides herself on being personable and approachable, and believes that building strong relationships with clients is particularly important when supporting people through what can be a difficult and stressful time. She is passionate about criminal defence and is committed to continuing to develop her knowledge while working towards achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients
