Ebony trained at a firm in Leicester before moving to work for a number of local authorities gaining valuable insight into their internal processes and procedures, and how local authorities approach care proceedings and child protection matters. Ebony has been with Straw and Pearce for 6 years as a Solicitor within the Family Department based in Leicester.

Ebony is an accredited member of the Law Society Children Panel and works with Cafcass to represent children in Care Proceedings and Private Law Proceedings. She also represents older children directly.  She specialises in providing expert legal advice to children, parents and extended family members when the local authority are involved due to concerns about the safety of children.

Ebony is involved in all stages of the child protection process, she advises during the pre-proceedings stage by attending meetings with clients and will advocate on their behalf in court.

Ebony undertakes most of her own advocacy and can offer advice and representation from start to finish of a case.
