Mark is a Straw & Pearce Director and head of the Professional Discipline team. He trained in London and then worked as a criminal defence solicitor in Leicester before joining Straw & Pearce. He has over 25 years’ experience representing professionals in criminal cases, specialising in serious and complex cases. 

With an established a reputation for the successful representation of clients accused of internal disciplinary breaches as well as criminal offences, Mark specialises in representing police officers and is known for his thorough preparation and robust representation. Mark has also advised police officers in more than 100 Post Incident Procedures over the years ranging from straight forward matters to fatal shootings.

Mark is regularly instructed by the Police Federation to represent their members in respect of high profile and complex cases, many of national significance, such as Public Inquiries and  Inquests.

Mark prides himself on being approachable and providing detailed advice to enable his clients to make informed decisions. His work ethic is second to none.
