Covid 19 - Conveyancing Matters

As always, acting in the best interests of our valued clients is our priority.

As a consequence, to ensure our clients are not placed at risk of breach of contract and subsequent financial penalties and to both ensure compliance with government lockdown requirements and our own professional obligations, we have made the decision that any transaction which had not exchanged as at 23th March 2020 is to be regarded as non-essential and thus any exchange will be placed ON HOLD for the duration of the lockdown. The situation will be reviewed by us, following a review of the lockdown by the government. The risk to our clients is too great for us to continue to advise you to proceed.

Rest assured that we will continue to work on your file during this very difficult period and, following a positive review of the lockdown by the government, will, providing all clients and third parties are still in a position to proceed with the transaction, proceed as quickly as reasonably possible to exchange.

Please note that the office is currently closed until further notice, and all fee earners and support staff are working remotely with limited resources and without access to the usual levels of support. Many have families and as such, the standard 9-5 office hours are no longer being adhered too. We would ask that you kindly bear with us throughout this unprecedented and difficult time and please avoid unnecessary phone calls and emails. We will endeavour to respond to you as soon as reasonably practicable and are trying our utmost to do our very best to continue working as efficiently as possible and in your best interests. We thank you in advance for your continued patience and custom.
