Wills & Inheritance

We can help with:

  • Wills and Tax Planning
  • Advice for the Elderly
  • Dealing with the Elderly and Infirm - Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection
  • Dealing with a death - Inheritance Probate and Administration of Estates

As we approach retirement there are new and, sometimes, unexpected financial issues to be considered. We can advise you with regard to releasing capital in your home, planning for the funding of care fees and tax planning.

We encourage all our clients to make a Will, which, for most people, is inexpensive. It will ensure your tax liability is kept to a minimum and that your dependants are cared for to the best of your ability after your death. We offer a simple fixed fee for straightforward and mirror wills.

Since October 2007 Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) have replaced Enduring Powers of Attorney. An LPA will enable you to appoint someone to look after your financial affairs and make welfare decisions on your behalf. An LPA must be in a prescribed form which we can prepare on your behalf. If a person lacks the capacity to create an LPA an application has to be made to the Court of Protection. We can assist with all aspects of applications to the Court of Protection.

We provide a full probate service dealing with the management and distribution of the estate of a deceased. We will provide an estimate of our charging rates and fees at the outset and keep you informed of any additional expense which might arise.
